Meet the Artist
I’m Anastasiya Devochkina, a contemporary mixed-media artist based in Tbilisi, Georgia.
My work explores inner states, change and transformation — particularly the complex, often contradictory experiences that emerge as we move from one version of ourselves into another.
Inspired by natural processes of movement, growth, unfolding and renewal, I use layers, color and intuitive mark-making as a way of thinking through human experience. Rather than offering a fixed meaning, I create space for viewers to encounter something of their own within the work.

Femininity as a range of states. This artwork is about alchemy — transforming fear into power, tension into creation, and chaos into life. It is about choosing where to place your attention and energy, even when the world around forces you to shake and fall into fear-hate spiral.
As part of my series on the inner fire and the strength of women, this painting reminds how deeply we carry the gift of transformation within us — the ability to create, to give life, and to turn even the most intense moments into something meaningful.
